About k.pilates Studio

Blending traditional Pilates exercises with dynamic strength training, students will learn to focus on core strength and flexibility while enjoying a fun, effective total body workout. We offer private and group classes. Classes are taught in an athletic style with a foundation in classic Pilates. We also combine cardio jump board and client requests, to create for intense, innovative workouts. From beginner to the most advanced, you will be challenged throughout every step!
About The Owner
k.pilates is owned and operated by Kristen Riley. Five years ago, Kristen fell in love with Pilates. Discovering a natural gift for teaching, she began her mentor training and instructing in 2013. In 2014, she completed her certification in Balanced Body University Reformer training at Body Evolve Studio in Highland Park, IL. k.pilates was opened shortly after in November of that year.
Kristen is continually motivated to educate herself on new and innovative Pilates techniques Her style of teaching is athletic and challenging — a full body workout that will leave your muscles weak and your clothes sweaty. Training with Kristen, you’ll focus on sculpting long, lean muscles and strong, stable cores with the added benefits of improved flexibility and posture.
Practicing Pilates throughout the pregnancy and births of her last two children, Kristen developed a special interest in pre and postnatal body recovery. She offers specialized training for women who are pregnant or are looking to get back into shape after baby!
Outside the studio, Kristen enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and three young children.
Bianca Barajas – Instructor
Bianca is a passionate instructor who thrives on motivating clients to discover their personal strength and abilities. She brings an athletic approach to her classes and strives to add a personal touch to each session with an emphasis on self improvement at all levels. She believes pilates is the perfect complement to other fitness practices by defining muscle tone, flexibility, and balance together in one well thought out workout. Under mentorship from Kristen Riley at K.Pilates, Bianca began her journey to become a pilates instructor and has continued her education through various trainings.
Outside the studio Bianca is a health and wellness advocate, fitness enthusiast, and most importantly a loving mother of 2 young boys.
