Frequently Asked Questions
Why do Pilates?
It is highly adaptable to each individual (from age 5 to 95), creates balanced strength in your musculature, improves posture, enhances your mind-body connection, creates deep muscle tone and flexibility…it helps you stand taller, hit the ball further, and bend a little easier. It can help reduce injuries from muscle overuse and imbalance and ease pain due to the same. Plus, the way you feel after class is just plain amazing.
What should I wear?
Something comfortable, breathable, and not too loose fitting. The instructor should be able to see your body so as to ensure your proper form. Examples from our clients: leggings or tights, tanks or short sleeve tops. Men wear running tights or bike short with other shorts over. Pilates is practiced without shoes, however grip socks are required for your health and safety! We sell Toe Sox in the studio, just grab a pair when you come for class. Just be comfortable and ready to workout!
Do I need shoes?

How long is my class?
All of our classes run 50 minutes. Please plan to arrive 5 minutes before your class begins.
